These caves and the surrounding area were used for thousands of years for the artistic endeavors of the early inhabitants as well as for the lovely areas surrounding the caves.
On the right it is easy to identify the deer, but there are other animals pictured here as well.
The guns pictured here were added some time in the late 1800s by someone familiar with the area.
More ancient graffiti, they look like flags to me.
There are many odd formations to be found here, this large round formation actually fell from the side of the cave.
Balls of rock like these seen here can be found at this level throughout the mountain where these caves were formed . . . no idea what they are, but they are very interesting.
This large stump is all that remains of a tree that was approximately nine feet in diameter, I cannot image how tall it must have been.
At one time tepee's such as this replica would have covered the hillside.
